I avoid the JVM if at all possible, so I've not used either Groovy or
Scala, so I can't speak to their individual behaviors, but I've sort
of watched the rise and fall of Groovy and the rise of Scala over time
and most of the people I know that used to be big Groovy fans have
migrated to Scala.
