In facts why not call the installer LuaForWindows as was suggested by Ryan before and simply pack LuaDist instead of the old MSVC bound binaries. That way people will still find LuaForWindows they are familiar with.

That would be an excellent idea, and Ryan and Andrew have experience
with this.  It would also do things like associate .lua and .wlua with
their corresponding programs (including how to edit) and give them
nice icons in the explorer.
