Sorry to hijack this thread, but is there a generic "compression
library", something that can handle zlib, bz2, lzo, 7z, zip, rar, ...?
Something with read/write capabilities. Then we could design a generic
API.
I tried to look at the code of p7zip with the intent of creating a
binding, but I gave up...
