Thanks again, but presumably mostly of interest to language
implementors: those of us who are writing programs with existing
compilers are more interested in versions of the standard actually
implemented in production compilers. (Until GCC's C99 support became
fairly solid, that is to say, just a few years ago, it was safer to
stick to C89.)
