In the header of my message:
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed
So it should work in all good mail agents...
Should this be missing, or should I have been using Windows ISO chars in 
the dreaded 128-159 range – like € or ‘cœur’… – it would have been more 
problematic...
But this is going off topic, I fear.
Well, I once wrote a Lua script to convert French Win chars to Mac ones...
