As we know from quantum mechanics any attempt to measure something
will cause the state of the system to collapse into an eigenstate of
the observable.

Since you attempted to measure (predict) the release date of Lua the
system immediately collapsed to an eigenstate of the observable, a
software release in this case.

This should explain what happened...
