There's two "Orbit"s too, a CORBA broker, and the lua Orbit framework.

For disambiguation, I think lua-opal will work, when referring to it.

Don't think it matters much at all, but there's a PL called Opal (http://uebb.cs.tu-berlin.de/~opal/). The difference to your project is large enough for theree not to be much confusion I'd think.
