Well, I've said my part (about five times now, using different phrasing).

My disdain is not related to the down-to-earth practical qualities of
the library, but is triggered by the engineering practices it employs.
I do not see how "trying it out" will improve matters in this
particular case — I can read source code (which is the root of the
problem here!), and I trust your statement that it does work and is
fast.

I'm interested in trying to beat Fleece with LJ2 — and I will have to
actually run the code then, but that is about it.
