Speaking as a foreigner, the US has gotten a _lot_ better in this
regards in the last couple of years, I think.
But let me second the Toronto option. I'll be happy to assist with
local organizing.
(And while we are at it, if any other Toronto Lua people want to meet
up, let me know.)
