Lua and Corba

Hi,

Is it possible to use Lua with a CORBA ORB?

I've found the work at http://www.tecgraf.puc-rio.br/luaorb/ but it seems
to be old (2000, old version of lua).  Their TODO list includes Java and
TAO, both of which would be very welcome, if they were implemented!

If that is not supported, does anyone know how much work would be required
to bring it up to date?  Are there any other alternatives?

If not, what other languages would people recommend for scripting CORBA
components?
