Happy birthday to Lua! :-)

It is one of the most interesting and best designed programming languages I encountered in many decades (in my life I've used more than 20 of them, not counting dialects) and the perfect complement to C.

Lua is an excellent language for thinking programmers, as opposed to widely used "glue languages" or "LEGO languages" that people just use to connect pre-cut blocks together, or "corridor languages" that constrain you within a given path.

I regret not having had more opportunities to use it in my line of work, but (even now that I am retired and not in good health) I still enjoy using it for personal projects.

Long live Lua!
