For completeness, there's also Lua-RTOS-ESP32, which uses Lua 5.3 and supports ESP32, ESP8266 and PIC32MZ.

AFAIK, NodeMCU has a Lua5.3 version. But I don't know yet if this is a
vanilla Lua, with respect to numbers.
