hmmm...
$ mkdir tree
$ luarocks install --tree ./tree luarocks
$ ./tree/bin/luarocks download stacktraceplus
or
$ ./tree/bin/luarocs --tree ./tree download stacktraceplus
(not sure if You need to put the tree parameter here explicitly)
