What's there to steal?
CONF = {}
f = loadfile("config.lua","t",CONF)
f()
And CONF contains the contents of the configuration file. In C, this
would be:
lua_createtable(L,0,0);
lua_setglobal(L,"CONF");
rc = luaL_loadfile(L,"config.lua","t");
if (rc == LUA_OK)
{
lua_getglobal(L,"CONF");
lua_setupvalue(L,-2,1);
rc = lua_pcall(L,0,0,0); /* we just loaded our config */
}
