Lua 5.2 is Lua 5.2. The notion of a "release" and the benefits thereof
are a fairly well accepted concept. Making patches available rather
than just descriptions would encourage people to do something they
shouldn't. Imagine the confusion it would cause to have many subtly
different versions out there all claiming to be "Lua 5.2".
