Regarding lua bugs and the lua tarball download

Hi everyone,

Today I thought I'd download Lua 5.2.2 (still got Lua 5.2 with some or
none patches in my project tree), when I stumbled across the following
things which stumped me a bit about the lua website. If time can be
spared for it, maybe some changes should be considered:

* first thing is, it wasn't immediately obvious to me whether the most
current tarball has the patches already applied (turns out, it doesn't).
I think a fair amount of downloaders will probably miss they're supposed
to apply the latest patches in addition after they fetched the tarball
to get the very latest fixed Lua.

* secondly, the patches are all embedded into some easy-to-read but not
very useful for culminatively downloading nice box-ey html page
separated one by one. If no up to date Lua tarball can be provided, it
would be really helpful if there was a simple download to a raw file
that has all patches starting from the latest tarball version simply
appended into one large .patch file which people can download, apply
once and be done with it. This would really speed up the patching.

Also I vaguely recall there being a raw link to all the patches in
earlier days, but I just can't seem to find it right now. If that is
already around, sorry for bothering. (It does appear to be gone though)

Would be neat if some of those changes were considered!
