Okay, from a Lua perspective, using Qt might be problematic in the long run since the only workable binding library has been idling for a long while now and the list of problems with it continues to grow.

Surely "downsides" are mostly dependant on your specific requirements,
target audience, preferred platform(s) etc. As Miles Bader said,
general comparisons are likely to turn into a flame war or advocacy
contest without some context.
