Lua ModBus library?

There are a couple of projects on luaforge that are modbus related [1]
[2], but neither of them have any file releases nor do they have a
home page. Googling also brings up a number of references but none of
them are complete standalone projects. Does anyone know of a complete
implementation anywhere? Or if someone has an incomplete
implementation gathering dust somewhere they would like to put up on
github or something like that, I am eager to pitch in to get it
working.
