Hello,

First of all check this list:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_programming_languages

1. What makes Lua interesting out of all those above massive list, out of all other language features ? Can you ask yourself ?

- Is there any virtual machine open source exist ? Where you can stand and run on top of that virtual instance run your own application ?
- Is there any freedom for virtual machine to cross over Flash/Java/Silverlight offering and restricting developers freedom by limiting etc etc ?
- Is there any project in future you will face which require more advanced, but you cant do it with Lua ?
- Is there any planing or road map even exist for this with Lua, do they care even ?

2. Coming to Lua means lot of common sense to all of us

- Can we build our own tools which canseparateus as freedom of code ?
- Can we build our own tools which can allow us to be independentarchitecturedeveloper, reaching the world of Browser andVirtual?

There are my questions in my small brain, buggingaround, but again why can we not build a Lua virtual machine, why should we take it as first impression to negative orbit ? In positive track, itguaranteehow strong it is for any kind of development challenges.

Thanks & Regards
Shamun

Another horse that has been flogged, flogged, flogged and beaten
to death ad nauseam. This must be a popular time for dead horses...

Think carefully: Do you think you were the first person to think
of this?

I'll give you a very condensed comment on your idea. This topic
has been repeated, repeated, repeated... <barf>

Technical merit matters very little. It's mainly business and
marketing. If you can't see that, you should think about it rather
more carefully.

Lua is cross platform. I advise you to check the canonical
sources. Do some proper research... (not the first time it has
been suggested to you)

Lua is crossplottform, it just isn't web browser integrated.

A Lua-Plugin for major Web Browsers allowing websites to be scripted
in Lua would be very nice. Its just by far no trivial project even for
a single browser like Firefox and we just have no one
doing/maintaining it. If you search you see there have been a few
attempts, but none pushed through.
