That's why I mentioned (in parallel...) Vimeo, which has a decent quality and much less clutter in the pages. It is often used to show off technical stuff (eg. Processing sketches).

Well, most (knowledgeable?) people walking Internet know how to open a second tab (or window) to check secondary resource without quiting the main site. Not a real problem.
