Is mailing list activity a indication of the "health" of the community? 
I subscribed to the ruby list at the same time as Lua. I have 8K 
messages in my Ruby folder and 4K in my Lua folder. Ruby has a huge 
following, so 4K messages does not seem to shabby to me-Patrick
