I am a bit puzzled by this LuaOS thread. Surely the functionality
of Lua is complementary, orthogonal even, to that of an OS?
Back in the late 70s the lisp-on-a-chip project appeared at MIT
(Steele?). Now we have Jazelle for the ARM architecture as some sort
of scion of that.
Are there any projects to realize the Lua VM more directly in hardware?
