No reason users can't show their displeasure though.  Given that they
already support Lua, and multiple extension languages generally, they
may decide that continuing official support for Lua is worth it after
all.

[There's no denying that Python, creaky and clumsy may it be, has
"momentum", lots of users, libraries, etc]
