I'd check:
- GnuPlot http://www.gnuplot.info/
- ImageMagick http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php
Both have command line tools for that; but I'd use some other output
format than JPEG, which is good for pictures but not shart graphs.
PNG, or even PDF.
