Hi,

A few more (from Gentoo, but I guess this is distro independent):

Perl: /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.7
GCC: /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/4.1.0
Qt: /usr/qt/4
Ethereal: /usr/lib/ethereal/plugins/0.10.14
Gimp: /usr/lib/gimp/2.3
Openmotif: /usr/lib/openmotif-2.2
pppd: /usr/lib/pppd/2.4.3

There is ample precedent for either variant, but no standard in
sight. The variant with a slash seems to be more popular. I don't
know any purely technical reason for choosing either. So it's a
matter of policy left to the upstream package maintainers.

Let's wait what John has to say about his rationale for the
change.

Bye,
