Just as a reminder (and  to drop some keywords to the list archive):
the ultimate way for browser scripting with lua is to use
the elinks text browser from elinks.or.cz
(and BTW the contact listed in lua.org/uses.html is no longer
current, now it's Jonas Fonseca@diku.dk).

Probably it's not all too difficult to teach it's built in Lua
to talk to ajax?
Could be nice to easily create feature-rich web-based user interfaces
requiring very low hardware ressources on both ends, able to display
on a bunch of old text terminals somewhere in a library.
