Many thanks to Pepperfish and Rob for hosting lua-users.org for such a long stretch.

About site requirements, it needs at least Linux shared hosting (preferably Debian or Ubuntu).  Storage need is about 10GB currently, and compute need is small-to-negligible.

Assuming lua.org doesn't find a solution suitable for lua-users to ride on, we're looking separately for a free hosting commitment for at least 7 years out.  If you think you may be able to host the site, please email me directly.

I don't have any interest in updating the aged yet reliable software stack.  If there is a person or group passionate about refreshing the site, you'd need to be willing to take ownership of the entirety (not just wiki or list archive), and agree to preserve URL's of list messages and searches, wiki pages, hosted files, etc.  Not for the faint of heart-- email me directly.

After such a long time of providing unfailing, kind, generous,
flexible, and efficient support to key internet presence for the Lua
community, Pepperfish is closing down at the end of this year. We are
*very* grateful to Pepperfish for their support.

We are now looking for concrete suggestions on how and where to host
lua.org, lua-l, and lua-users.org reliably.
