Hi there,
I took a look at the article but couldn't understand the essence of what makes it faster than LuaJIT -- is it possible to give a short (maybe a few sentences) description of how one runs a Lua program with this new interpreter and the basic steps that happen in the process?  That might help to clarify.

More importantly, the interpreter is not hand-written. It is automatically generated from a semantical description of the LuaJIT bytecodes using a meta-compiler called Deegen.
