Unsubscribe links (was Re: Suggestion: syntax sugar for object methods inside table constructor)

It was thus said that the Great Robin Stern once stated:

  The necessary information to unsubscribe is inluded in each email from
this list with the List-Unsubscribe: header (RFC-2369).  It would be
entirely possible for an email client to add an "Unsubscribe" button
automatically.  But in case it's difficult to check the headers, here  it is
from this list:

List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:lua-l-leave@lists.lua.org>

  Note:  this will unsubscribe you from the list as a whole, *NOT* from a
given thread.  I don't think any mailing list software will allow one to
"unsubscribe" from a particular  thread.
