Differences in stack layout 5.3 vs 5.4

Hi,

I just noticed an assertion in lvm.c in 5.4:

 lua_assert(base == ci->func + 1);

Does that mean that the stack layout has changed between 5.3 and 5.4?
If I am not mistaken, in 5.3 var args appear between ci->func and base.
