I thought the original e-mail to me was no more offensive than the
e-mails any editor of a journal writes to total strangers requesting
them to review a paper. Lynn had obviously gone to some trouble
to identify people that have a large electronic footprint with "Lua"
inside it, and that is fair enough. I even felt a little flattered.

When I later saw the post on Lua-L, it greatly diminished that feeling
of being a little special.
