We're accustomed to read material written by people who
use the phrase "summer" for a period of the year that is
supposed to include July. We don't complain that there
may be other implementations of the seasons in which
maybe "summer" includes January instead. We just accept
the bona fides of the authors and deduce from context
which, the date or the season, is relevant.
