Maybe it's just me but I don't like reading "[was: ...". It often
reads like the previous thread is now over. Sometimes discussion is
still happening on the previous thread and 'was' reads with the
past-tense.
I'd prefer this convention if others agree and would hold to it:
New Subject [from: Other Subject]
(I'll try to stop diverting the focus of these threads I guess...)
