Thanks for yur suggestion.

By the way accessing files is (was) not the problem.
I have mapped fopen() & Co. used by Lua to the functions
I have in my FAT Lib.
At the end I discovered that the problem was in the Lua path setting
and in the order I did things to use multiple files!
