Well, that can't be done in the core, since Lua would double in size ;)

Special-casing Latin in the core seems silly, but Hisham's extension
is sufficiently general to be worth discussing.

With current core, is it possible to support language add-ons, that
can be made into modules, preferably pure Lua)?

If not, what changes are needed?
