Hi, all!

We are pleased to announce the Lua Workshop 2014!

The Workshop will be held for two days: Saturday, September, 13th and
Sunday, September, 14th 2014 at Moscow, Russia, at the Mail.Ru Group
office building. (Lua community may know Mail.Ru Group for their work
on the Tarantool project: http://tarantool.org/.)

The spoken language of the Workshop is English. Translation to Russian
is not planned (as Russian IT audience is usually well-versed in
English). Translation for the after-talk questions from
Russian-speaking attendees will be provided as necessary.

Participation in the Workshop is free of charge. Arrangements for the
lunches, coffee-breaks and dinners depend on the number of attendees
and will be announced later. (There's a good chance that we will be
able to organize catering during the Workshop free of charge for the
attendees.)

The sponsors of the Workshop at the moment are the General Sponsor,
Mail.Ru Group (http://corp.mail.ru/en/) and the Technical Sponsor,
LogicEditor (http://logiceditor.com). If your company is interested in
becoming a sponsor, please contact the organizers.

You can find more information about the Workshop here:

As usual, the official registration will start later on, but please do
add your name now on the page above if you plan to attend.

Please send your talk proposals to the organizer team: lua.workshop@gmail.com.

Also, in addition to the main auditorium, we will have three
conference rooms available for the Workshop, a large one, for 100
people and two smaller ones, for 10 people. Ideas on how to use them
are welcome (for example, we could have some smaller tracks or panels
or roundtables or coding sessions or presentations/Lua-related
performances in parallel to the main track).

Looking forward to see you all in Moscow!
Alexander.

BTW, if there will be interest from the participants, it will be
possible to organize group tours on the week after the Workshop — in
Moscow and/or to St. Petersburg and nearby museum-towns.
