Rest assured that the checksums in lua.org are correct and that
the files there are intact.

How did you download them?

I've had a report about that two days ago with the same md5 for 5.1.5:

65dcbf99de030d59710ef1cd2385ccbc  lua-5.1.5.tar.gz

but no information was given about how the files were downloaded.

Do the sizes in bytes of the files match those in
http://www.lua.org/ftp/ ? If not, then the downloading corrupted them.

Do the files you've downloaded open with no problems?

Are you using md5sum to find the checksums?
