- Subject: [ANN] Take Command 16.0 adds embedded Lua

Hi, all,
Just received an announcement from JPSoft on the release of Take
Command 16.0 and noticed that they've added an embedded Lua
interpreter. See <http://jpsoft.com/help/index.htm?whats_new.htm>
("Added an internal Lua interpreter. Lua scripts can be executed by
entering the script name at the TCC prompt, or with the LUA command
(see below). You can also execute Lua expressions with the @LUA
variable function.")
Good news for Windows users who aren't content with what cmd.exe has
to offer on the command line. Take Command is the successor to
JPSoft's 16-bit 4DOS, which in turn was the successor to Rex Conn's
CP/M-based ZCPR.
Best regards,
Paul
