- Subject: Shell commands in Lua

Hello Group,
I want to ask ,how we can use shell commands like 'sed' and many
others in Lua program.
Direct syntax of sed is not working.
I got the following error:
lua: part.lua:23: attempt to call global 'sed' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
part.lua:23: in main chunk
[C]: in ?
I searched internet but didnt find anything relevant.
Any help would be appreciated.
