Yes, in a narrow case of this very example two forms are, indeed,
equivalent but it would help if the wording explicitly mentions that
the order of initialization should be regarded as undefined.

The main pedagogical value of examples is that they capture certain
general concepts and behavior. If those generalizations come with
restrictions it would help to have them articulated explicitly.
