What a Lua+everything thingy needs is stable leadership, management and manpower. Not to mention absorbing small projects under one umbrella. Until that is created and we have a thingy shipping for a few quarters, there is no use to ask for blessing. But a long-term thingy is harder to start and run than it looks (for a small community)... it's not like this is the first time people are discussing it, as Alex says.
