Indentation in emacs lua-mode

Hi, list!

Each time I try to use emacs to code in Lua, I stumble on that the
indentation it tries to force is not even close to my guidelines. And
each time all my energy is wasted on the fighting with the editor, and
I go back to using something more casual.

But now I want to dig it through.

Can some emacs guru please help me to beat lua-mode and configure it
to indent code my way:
