Well, don't complain that people bite the bait, then... :-D

Beside, this need came up in the past: since Lua is often embedded in closed system not 
allowing to bind C libraries, hackers re-create low level algorithms in pure Lua. Making 
their life less miserable (offering usable tools instead of hacking even more) might be 
useful.
