Best practices in Lua project structure

Hi all,

I think I'd better ask the experts: what's your preferred way to set up 
directories for Lua projects?

I mean, do you use a "src/" and "test/" directories? How do you set up 
modules withing "src"? Any other hints/best practices you could provide?
