Hi all,

I have the start of a cmake build system for Lua. It is part of the
CMakePorts project, see http://code.google.com/p/cmakeports. I would
be happy to also contribute the CMakeLists to the Lua project.
I'm no Lua developer myself so there may well be bits and pieces in
the Lua code that slipped. The build system is working nicely though
and I have compiled static and shared libraries on both linux (Ubuntu)
and windows (msvc80&msvc90).

Any chance such a contribution would be accepted?

With all the humility that is appropriate when pushing CMake in
autotools forums :-)
