64 bit

I have successfully installed Lua 5.1.1 on my Sun Ultra running FreeBSD
7.

This is a 64bit machine and some libraries/modules do not compile and
give rise to errors, namely rex and cgilua/lfs

Are there any additional configurations required to compile for 64 bit
or should I be writing configuration scripts?
