Stack resets on panic

Hello everyone,

I wanted to set up my application to print a backtrace on panic, but it
seems Lua resets the stack on panic.  I was just wondering what the reason
for this was;  if there's no good reason for it to be in my application,
I'll just remove this in the source I distribute with my application.
