Maybe they have an R&D dept., and maybe that R&D dept. occasionally works on new products? :) Maybe one of these developments uses Lua, e.g. to embed web services on smaller architectures such as smartphones or some appliance?

 I'd *hate* to run PHP on a Windows mobile, for instance...
