i think it's just a fact statement, not pro- or con- argument :

1) it's a useful concept
2) it's usually not hard to 'fake'

most of us agree on both points, now it's a matter of taste if the
fake constructs are ugly/limited enough to argue for it's inclusion.

i, for one, would really like to have it.
