Sure. But that would require a somewhat different kind of test suit.
Currently the Lua test suit aims at finding bugs, really trying to crash
Lua.  It does not excel at describing bugs. (Frequently the bug crashes
the suit...)  It would need some (maybe much) change to give polite
messages in case of errors.
